Guest Cancellations

If you need to cancel a booking as a guest, your refund depends on how far in advance you cancel relative to the check-in date.

More than 30 days before check-in

Full flexibility to change your plans.

Guest: 100% refund|Host: 0%

14-30 days before check-in

Partial refund – credits are split between guest and host.

Guest: 50% refund|Host: 50% compensation

Less than 14 days before check-in

No refund – host receives full compensation for the late cancellation.

Guest: 0% refund|Host: 100% compensation

Note: If the total credits don't divide evenly (e.g., 7 nights = 3.5 each), the host receives the extra credit.

Pending Bookings

If your booking is still pending (waiting for host approval), you can cancel at any time for a full refund of your credits.

Pending bookings: 100% refund, no questions asked.

Host Cancellations

If you're a host and need to cancel a confirmed booking:

Guest receives a 100% refund of their credits (always)
Your reliability may be affected for future bookings
Frequent cancellations may result in account review

Important: Please only accept bookings you can honor. Last-minute cancellations significantly impact guests who may have already booked flights or made other arrangements.

Declined Bookings

If a host declines your booking request:

You receive a 100% refund of your credits immediately.

There's no penalty for declined bookings – hosts may decline for various reasons unrelated to you.

Home Swap Cancellations

For home swaps (no credits involved), cancellations work similarly:

  • Either party can cancel at any time
  • No credits are involved, so no refunds needed
  • Common courtesy: notify the other party as soon as possible
  • Frequent cancellations may affect your reviews and reputation

How to Cancel a Booking

Navigate to Dashboard → Bookings

Find the booking

Locate the booking you want to cancel

Click "Cancel Booking"

You'll see the refund amount before confirming

Confirm cancellation

Credits are refunded instantly to your balance
