We offer a bright, peaceful two‑story home just 20 km from the center of Copenhagen, complete with a large private rooftop terrace where you can enjoy the sun from morning to evening. It’s perfect for a couple, but we can comfortably accommodate 3–5 guests if needed. The upper floor — which will be entirely yours — includes: • a cozy living room • an open kitchen/dining area • a bedroom • a bathroom • and our beloved 30 m² rooftop terrace, completely private and ideal for relaxing, eating outside or simply enjoying the quiet atmosphere We have a very calm and considerate student living on the lower floor. She is usually away visiting her family during holidays, so you will often have the whole home to yourselves. A little about us: I’m a schoolteacher, and my 20‑year‑old daughter and I are quiet, respectful travelers who take great care of other people’s homes. We appreciate exchanging with people who value the same. My holidays follow the Danish school calendar, so our exchange availability is typically during school breaks. We love home‑swapping, discovering new places and giving others the chance to experience Copenhagen from a peaceful, local perspective. How does home exchange on SwappaHome work?
You list your home, earn 1 credit for every night you host a guest, and spend those credits to stay at any other home in the network — always 1 credit per night. No money changes hands between members. New accounts start with 7 free credits — one full week — so you can book your first trip before you've hosted anyone.
Is it safe to swap homes with strangers?
Every member goes through identity verification before they can list or book. All conversations happen inside the SwappaHome platform — you never have to share your personal email or phone number to coordinate a swap. After each stay, guests and hosts leave mutual reviews — reputation is the foundation of the whole community, and members with low ratings lose access. For extra peace of mind, we recommend confirming house rules in writing before arrival.
Do I need to swap directly with the same person?
No. SwappaHome uses a credit system, not direct 1-to-1 swaps. You can host a family from Berlin and use the credits you earn to stay with a completely different host in Tokyo six months later. It makes travel dates, destinations and group sizes much easier to match.
Can I join if I don't own a home?
Yes — you can earn credits by hosting in a spare room, a long-term rental (if your lease allows guests) or by gifting/receiving credits from other members. You can also buy a starter pack if you want to travel before you host. Listing your primary home is the most common path, but it's not the only one.
