Home Exchange in United Arab Emirates
0 verified homes
The Emirates stretch from glittering Gulf coastlines to rust-red desert dunes, where centuries-old souks hum alongside gravity-defying skylines. Beyond the air-conditioned malls and marina towers, you'll find wind-tower neighbourhoods in Sharjah, date palm oases in Al Ain, and Friday morning fish markets where the catch is still flipping. Winters are golden—cool enough for rooftop dinners and mountain hikes in the Hajar range. Summers send everyone indoors by noon, but evenings open up again with the scent of cardamom coffee and grilled kebabs drifting through courtyard gardens.

Frequently asked questions
How does home exchange on SwappaHome work?
You list your home, earn 1 credit for every night you host a guest, and spend those credits to stay at any other home in the network — always 1 credit per night. No money changes hands between members. New accounts start with 10 free credits, so you can book your first trip before you've hosted anyone.
Is it safe to swap homes with strangers?
Every member goes through identity verification before they can list or book. All messages run through our encrypted chat. After each stay, guests and hosts leave mutual reviews — reputation is the foundation of the whole community, and members with low ratings lose access. For extra peace of mind, we recommend confirming house rules in writing before arrival.
Do I need to swap directly with the same person?
No. SwappaHome uses a credit system, not direct 1-to-1 swaps. You can host a family from Berlin and use the credits you earn to stay with a completely different host in Tokyo six months later. It makes travel dates, destinations and group sizes much easier to match.
Can I join if I don't own a home?
Yes — you can earn credits by hosting in a spare room, a long-term rental (if your lease allows guests) or by gifting/receiving credits from other members. You can also buy a starter pack if you want to travel before you host. Listing your primary home is the most common path, but it's not the only one.
When's the best time to visit the United Arab Emirates?
November through March is peak season, when temperatures hover in the low twenties and you can actually enjoy outdoor souks, beach walks, and desert camps without melting. April and October are shoulder months—still warm but quieter. Summer (June to September) is fiercely hot, often pushing past forty degrees, but hotel rates drop and you'll have pools and museums nearly to yourself. If you're chasing cultural festivals, plan around Ramadan's evening iftars or the cooler months when food festivals and art fairs fill the calendar.
