Home Exchange in Goa
No verified homes listed in Goa yet — the first hosts get priority placement.
Goa unfolds in layers: Portuguese-painted churches in Old Goa, spice-scented markets in Panjim, fishing villages where nets dry on Mandrem sands. Mornings taste like poee bread and bebinca, afternoons slow to feni cocktails under palms. The coastline shifts from party-loud Baga to quiet Palolem coves, while inland laterite villages hum with temple bells and cashew orchards. Monsoons turn the Western Ghats emerald; winter draws long-stayers to Anjuna and Assagao. It's India at its most languid—where every sunset feels like permission to linger.

Frequently asked questions
How does home exchange on SwappaHome work?
You list your home, earn 1 credit for every night you host a guest, and spend those credits to stay at any other home in the network — always 1 credit per night. No money changes hands between members. New accounts start with 10 free credits, so you can book your first trip before you've hosted anyone.
Is it safe to swap homes with strangers?
Every member goes through identity verification before they can list or book. All messages run through our encrypted chat. After each stay, guests and hosts leave mutual reviews — reputation is the foundation of the whole community, and members with low ratings lose access. For extra peace of mind, we recommend confirming house rules in writing before arrival.
Do I need to swap directly with the same person?
No. SwappaHome uses a credit system, not direct 1-to-1 swaps. You can host a family from Berlin and use the credits you earn to stay with a completely different host in Tokyo six months later. It makes travel dates, destinations and group sizes much easier to match.
Can I join if I don't own a home?
Yes — you can earn credits by hosting in a spare room, a long-term rental (if your lease allows guests) or by gifting/receiving credits from other members. You can also buy a starter pack if you want to travel before you host. Listing your primary home is the most common path, but it's not the only one.
When's the best time to visit Goa?
November through February brings dry skies and comfortable warmth—peak season for beaches and festivals like Sunburn. March and April grow hotter but quieter, ideal for exploring inland spice plantations and heritage homes. June through September sees heavy monsoon rains that green the landscape dramatically; many beach shacks close, but it's magical for those who love dramatic skies, empty shores, and the scent of wet earth mixing with sea salt.
