Home Exchange in Verona

No verified homes listed in Verona yet — the first hosts get priority placement.

Verona hums with a different clock than Venice, two hours east. Here, the rhythm belongs to aperitivo spilling onto cobblestones at six, to the opera season that fills the Roman arena each summer, to the Adige curving past ochre palazzi that have watched the same current for centuries. It's a city scaled for walking—from the market stalls of Piazza delle Erbe to the cypress-dotted hills of Valpolicella just beyond the ring road—and it rewards the traveller who lingers past the balcony photo. The homes below open the door to that rhythm.

Frequently asked questions

How does home exchange on SwappaHome work?

You list your home, earn 1 credit for every night you host a guest, and spend those credits to stay at any other home in the network — always 1 credit per night. No money changes hands between members. New accounts start with 7 free credits — one full week — so you can book your first trip before you've hosted anyone.

Is it safe to swap homes with strangers?

Every member goes through identity verification before they can list or book. All conversations happen inside the SwappaHome platform — you never have to share your personal email or phone number to coordinate a swap. After each stay, guests and hosts leave mutual reviews — reputation is the foundation of the whole community, and members with low ratings lose access. For extra peace of mind, we recommend confirming house rules in writing before arrival.

Do I need to swap directly with the same person?

No. SwappaHome uses a credit system, not direct 1-to-1 swaps. You can host a family from Berlin and use the credits you earn to stay with a completely different host in Tokyo six months later. It makes travel dates, destinations and group sizes much easier to match.

Can I join if I don't own a home?

Yes — you can earn credits by hosting in a spare room, a long-term rental (if your lease allows guests) or by gifting/receiving credits from other members. You can also buy a starter pack if you want to travel before you host. Listing your primary home is the most common path, but it's not the only one.

Which neighbourhoods in Verona feel most local?

Veronetta, across the river from the centro storico, keeps a university-town edge—caffès filled with students, fewer tour groups, rent that lets artisans stay. Borgo Trento, west toward the hills, runs quieter still, with residential streets and family-run alimentari. The centro itself, around Piazza Bra and the arena, is where the opera crowds and evening passeggiate converge, beautiful but dense in summer. For markets and morning life, the streets radiating from Piazza delle Erbe—especially toward San Zeno—hold the city's everyday pulse.
