Home Exchange in Middle East
1 country · 0 verified homes
The Middle East pairs ancient cities with some of the world's most modern ones, and home exchange lets you experience both as a resident rather than a guest. Base yourself in a Dubai apartment with the skyline at your window, or somewhere quieter within reach of markets, mosques and the desert beyond the city. Living in a home means home-cooked meals, neighbourhood cafes and the kind of local hospitality the region is known for — on your own schedule. Earn a credit for every night you host and spend it anywhere in the network, and a stay in this crossroads of continents costs you nothing in accommodation.

Frequently asked questions
Which Middle East destinations can I home exchange in?
The network's Middle East presence centres on the United Arab Emirates, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi, with the community growing as more hosts list their homes. Open the country pages below to see verified homes that are live now, and join the waitlist to signal demand for destinations still coming online.
What's the best time of year for a swap in the region?
The cooler months from autumn through early spring are the most comfortable for spending real time outdoors in the cities and the desert, which is when most members plan their stays. Summers are intense, but homes here are built for it — and since there's no nightly cost, you can time your trip around the weather rather than around accommodation prices.
How does home exchange on SwappaHome work?
You list your home, earn 1 credit for every night you host a guest, and spend those credits to stay at any other home in the network — always 1 credit per night. No money changes hands between members. New accounts start with 7 free credits — one full week — so you can book your first trip before you've hosted anyone.
Is it safe to swap homes with strangers?
Every member goes through identity verification before they can list or book. All conversations happen inside the SwappaHome platform — you never have to share your personal email or phone number to coordinate a swap. After each stay, guests and hosts leave mutual reviews — reputation is the foundation of the whole community, and members with low ratings lose access. For extra peace of mind, we recommend confirming house rules in writing before arrival.
Do I need to swap directly with the same person?
No. SwappaHome uses a credit system, not direct 1-to-1 swaps. You can host a family from Berlin and use the credits you earn to stay with a completely different host in Tokyo six months later. It makes travel dates, destinations and group sizes much easier to match.
Can I join if I don't own a home?
Yes — you can earn credits by hosting in a spare room, a long-term rental (if your lease allows guests) or by gifting/receiving credits from other members. You can also buy a starter pack if you want to travel before you host. Listing your primary home is the most common path, but it's not the only one.
