Home Exchange in United Arab Emirates
0 verified homes
The call to prayer drifts over glass towers at dawn, and by noon the scent of cardamom coffee fills marble lobbies where falcon motifs meet Italian marble. The Emirates move between worlds—souks selling frankincense and gold sit blocks from ski slopes inside malls, and weekends mean dune-bashing at sunset followed by seafood grilled on the Gulf shore. To live here, even briefly, is to understand that the rhythm isn't tourist spectacle but the private courtesies: the majlis gatherings, the Friday brunches that stretch into evening, the way neighbours share dates during Ramadan. The homes below open the door to that everyday extravagance.

Frequently asked questions
How does home exchange on SwappaHome work?
You list your home, earn 1 credit for every night you host a guest, and spend those credits to stay at any other home in the network — always 1 credit per night. No money changes hands between members. New accounts start with 7 free credits — one full week — so you can book your first trip before you've hosted anyone.
Is it safe to swap homes with strangers?
Every member goes through identity verification before they can list or book. All conversations happen inside the SwappaHome platform — you never have to share your personal email or phone number to coordinate a swap. After each stay, guests and hosts leave mutual reviews — reputation is the foundation of the whole community, and members with low ratings lose access. For extra peace of mind, we recommend confirming house rules in writing before arrival.
Do I need to swap directly with the same person?
No. SwappaHome uses a credit system, not direct 1-to-1 swaps. You can host a family from Berlin and use the credits you earn to stay with a completely different host in Tokyo six months later. It makes travel dates, destinations and group sizes much easier to match.
Can I join if I don't own a home?
Yes — you can earn credits by hosting in a spare room, a long-term rental (if your lease allows guests) or by gifting/receiving credits from other members. You can also buy a starter pack if you want to travel before you host. Listing your primary home is the most common path, but it's not the only one.
What's the best time of year to experience the UAE?
November through March brings the sweetest weather—warm days, cool evenings, and the season when outdoor life flourishes. Locals picnic in desert camps, beaches fill at dusk, and rooftop terraces stay open late. Summer (June to September) is fiercely hot, but it's also when the country slows down, air-conditioning hums constantly, and you'll find the malls and indoor attractions at their most vibrant. If you want festivals, cultural events, and that perfect Gulf breeze, aim for winter.
