Home Exchange in Pärnu

No verified homes listed in Pärnu yet — the first hosts get priority placement.

Pärnu stretches along the Baltic shore where pine forests meet pale sand and wooden villas painted in faded pastels line quiet streets. Estonia's summer capital hums with a different rhythm depending on the season — long twilight evenings on the beach promenade in July, then a return to small-town stillness once autumn settles in. The scent of smoked fish drifts from the market, Soviet-era spa hotels stand beside art nouveau gems, and locals slip between Estonian and Russian as easily as the tide. It's a place that knows how to slow down without ever feeling sleepy.

Frequently asked questions

How does home exchange on SwappaHome work?

You list your home, earn 1 credit for every night you host a guest, and spend those credits to stay at any other home in the network — always 1 credit per night. No money changes hands between members. New accounts start with 10 free credits, so you can book your first trip before you've hosted anyone.

Is it safe to swap homes with strangers?

Every member goes through identity verification before they can list or book. All messages run through our encrypted chat. After each stay, guests and hosts leave mutual reviews — reputation is the foundation of the whole community, and members with low ratings lose access. For extra peace of mind, we recommend confirming house rules in writing before arrival.

Do I need to swap directly with the same person?

No. SwappaHome uses a credit system, not direct 1-to-1 swaps. You can host a family from Berlin and use the credits you earn to stay with a completely different host in Tokyo six months later. It makes travel dates, destinations and group sizes much easier to match.

Can I join if I don't own a home?

Yes — you can earn credits by hosting in a spare room, a long-term rental (if your lease allows guests) or by gifting/receiving credits from other members. You can also buy a starter pack if you want to travel before you host. Listing your primary home is the most common path, but it's not the only one.

When does Pärnu feel most alive?

Summer transforms Pärnu completely — from late June through August, the beach fills with families, open-air concerts spill into warm nights, and the promenade becomes the town's living room. Estonians flock here for proper holidays, so expect a buzz that fades by September. Spring and autumn bring a quieter charm: empty beaches perfect for long walks, cheaper spa treatments, and restaurants that cater to locals rather than crowds. Winter is stark and beautiful if you're drawn to frozen coastlines and wood-fired saunas, though many seasonal spots close until May.
