Home Exchange in Abu Dhabi
No verified homes listed in Abu Dhabi yet — the first hosts get priority placement.
Abu Dhabi stretches along a crescent of turquoise Gulf waters, where glass towers catch the morning light and date palms line wide boulevards. Beyond the gleaming Corniche, neighbourhoods like Al Bateen and Saadiyat Island hum with galleries, souks, and cafés serving cardamom-laced coffee. The call to prayer drifts over mangrove channels at dusk. Summers blaze hot, but winter months bring breezy evenings perfect for wandering the older districts near Mina Zayed, where the scent of frankincense mingles with salt air and the city's quieter, older rhythms still hold.

Frequently asked questions
How does home exchange on SwappaHome work?
You list your home, earn 1 credit for every night you host a guest, and spend those credits to stay at any other home in the network — always 1 credit per night. No money changes hands between members. New accounts start with 10 free credits, so you can book your first trip before you've hosted anyone.
Is it safe to swap homes with strangers?
Every member goes through identity verification before they can list or book. All messages run through our encrypted chat. After each stay, guests and hosts leave mutual reviews — reputation is the foundation of the whole community, and members with low ratings lose access. For extra peace of mind, we recommend confirming house rules in writing before arrival.
Do I need to swap directly with the same person?
No. SwappaHome uses a credit system, not direct 1-to-1 swaps. You can host a family from Berlin and use the credits you earn to stay with a completely different host in Tokyo six months later. It makes travel dates, destinations and group sizes much easier to match.
Can I join if I don't own a home?
Yes — you can earn credits by hosting in a spare room, a long-term rental (if your lease allows guests) or by gifting/receiving credits from other members. You can also buy a starter pack if you want to travel before you host. Listing your primary home is the most common path, but it's not the only one.
When's the best time to visit Abu Dhabi?
November through March offers the most comfortable weather, with daytime temperatures in the mid-twenties and cool evenings ideal for exploring souks, beaches, and outdoor sites. Summers run intensely hot, often exceeding forty degrees, though air-conditioned malls and indoor attractions remain lively year-round. Winter also brings cultural festivals and outdoor concerts along the Corniche. If you're drawn to the desert, the cooler months make dune excursions and falaj oasis visits far more pleasant.
