Home Exchange in Dubai

No verified homes listed in Dubai yet — the first hosts get priority placement.

The call to prayer drifts over glass towers at dawn, and by noon the smell of cardamom coffee mingles with sea salt along the Creek. Dubai rewards the traveller who stays long enough to find the rhythm beneath the spectacle — the Iranian spice souks in Deira, the Filipino bakeries in Karama, the Emirati families picnicking in Zabeel Park after sunset. A hotel lobby shows you the skyline; a kitchen with a view toward the old dhow harbour shows you how a city of two hundred nationalities actually lives. The homes below open the door to that everyday cosmopolitanism.

Frequently asked questions

How does home exchange on SwappaHome work?

You list your home, earn 1 credit for every night you host a guest, and spend those credits to stay at any other home in the network — always 1 credit per night. No money changes hands between members. New accounts start with 10 free credits, so you can book your first trip before you've hosted anyone.

Is it safe to swap homes with strangers?

Every member goes through identity verification before they can list or book. All conversations happen inside the SwappaHome platform — you never have to share your personal email or phone number to coordinate a swap. After each stay, guests and hosts leave mutual reviews — reputation is the foundation of the whole community, and members with low ratings lose access. For extra peace of mind, we recommend confirming house rules in writing before arrival.

Do I need to swap directly with the same person?

No. SwappaHome uses a credit system, not direct 1-to-1 swaps. You can host a family from Berlin and use the credits you earn to stay with a completely different host in Tokyo six months later. It makes travel dates, destinations and group sizes much easier to match.

Can I join if I don't own a home?

Yes — you can earn credits by hosting in a spare room, a long-term rental (if your lease allows guests) or by gifting/receiving credits from other members. You can also buy a starter pack if you want to travel before you host. Listing your primary home is the most common path, but it's not the only one.

When's the best time to visit Dubai?

November through March offers warm days and cool evenings — perfect for walking the souks or sitting on a balcony after dark. Summer (June to September) is fiercely hot, but it's when the city feels most local: malls become social hubs, and expat families fill the parks at dusk. Ramadan, which shifts annually, brings a quieter pace by day and vibrant night markets. If you're staying in a home rather than a resort, you'll adapt to the season the way residents do.
