Home Exchange in Burgas
No verified homes listed in Burgas yet — the first hosts get priority placement.
Burgas wakes to the cry of gulls and the smell of grilled fish drifting from the Sea Garden, a ribbon of green that runs for miles along the Black Sea coast. It's a city that lives outdoors — locals promenade at dusk, families sprawl on benches with sunflower seeds, and the beach stretches wide and sandy, framed by the shallow lakes where flamingos sometimes gather. Unlike the resort sprawl to the north, Burgas feels lived-in: bakeries sell banitsa at dawn, the pedestrian streets hum with Bulgarian conversation, and the rhythm is seasonal, swelling in summer, softening in winter. The homes below open the door to that rhythm.

Frequently asked questions
How does home exchange on SwappaHome work?
You list your home, earn 1 credit for every night you host a guest, and spend those credits to stay at any other home in the network — always 1 credit per night. No money changes hands between members. New accounts start with 7 free credits — one full week — so you can book your first trip before you've hosted anyone.
Is it safe to swap homes with strangers?
Every member goes through identity verification before they can list or book. All conversations happen inside the SwappaHome platform — you never have to share your personal email or phone number to coordinate a swap. After each stay, guests and hosts leave mutual reviews — reputation is the foundation of the whole community, and members with low ratings lose access. For extra peace of mind, we recommend confirming house rules in writing before arrival.
Do I need to swap directly with the same person?
No. SwappaHome uses a credit system, not direct 1-to-1 swaps. You can host a family from Berlin and use the credits you earn to stay with a completely different host in Tokyo six months later. It makes travel dates, destinations and group sizes much easier to match.
Can I join if I don't own a home?
Yes — you can earn credits by hosting in a spare room, a long-term rental (if your lease allows guests) or by gifting/receiving credits from other members. You can also buy a starter pack if you want to travel before you host. Listing your primary home is the most common path, but it's not the only one.
When's the best time to visit Burgas?
June through September brings warm sea swimming and the liveliest café culture, though July and August can feel crowded. May and early October offer gentler weather and quieter beaches, ideal for long walks through the Sea Garden or birdwatching at the nearby Atanasovsko Lake. Winter is mild but sleepy — most beachfront spots close, and the city turns inward, though it's a good season for thermal springs and exploring the surrounding countryside without the summer heat.
