Home Exchange in Prague
No verified homes listed in Prague yet — the first hosts get priority placement.
Prague announces itself in church bells and the clatter of trams on cobblestone, a city where Gothic spires share the skyline with Art Nouveau cafés and the river bends through it all like a sentence that refuses to end. Staying here means breakfast in a Vinohrady courtyard instead of a hotel buffet, evenings in Karlín's wine bars after the tour groups have left, mornings when you walk to the bakery and the castle floats in mist above the rooftops. The homes below open the door to that rhythm.

Frequently asked questions
How does home exchange on SwappaHome work?
You list your home, earn 1 credit for every night you host a guest, and spend those credits to stay at any other home in the network — always 1 credit per night. No money changes hands between members. New accounts start with 7 free credits — one full week — so you can book your first trip before you've hosted anyone.
Is it safe to swap homes with strangers?
Every member goes through identity verification before they can list or book. All conversations happen inside the SwappaHome platform — you never have to share your personal email or phone number to coordinate a swap. After each stay, guests and hosts leave mutual reviews — reputation is the foundation of the whole community, and members with low ratings lose access. For extra peace of mind, we recommend confirming house rules in writing before arrival.
Do I need to swap directly with the same person?
No. SwappaHome uses a credit system, not direct 1-to-1 swaps. You can host a family from Berlin and use the credits you earn to stay with a completely different host in Tokyo six months later. It makes travel dates, destinations and group sizes much easier to match.
Can I join if I don't own a home?
Yes — you can earn credits by hosting in a spare room, a long-term rental (if your lease allows guests) or by gifting/receiving credits from other members. You can also buy a starter pack if you want to travel before you host. Listing your primary home is the most common path, but it's not the only one.
Which neighbourhoods in Prague feel most local?
Vinohrady and Žižkov offer tree-lined streets, neighbourhood pubs, and a residential pulse without the Old Town crowds. Karlín, once industrial, now hums with bistros and riverside paths. Letná draws locals to its park and beer gardens overlooking the Vltava. Across the river, Malá Strana's baroque lanes feel intimate at dusk, though summer days can swell with visitors. For true quiet, Dejvice and Bubeneč stretch north with farmers' markets and tram lines that connect you to the centre in minutes.
