Home Exchange in Manuel Antonio

No verified homes listed in Manuel Antonio yet — the first hosts get priority placement.

Manuel Antonio wakes to the sound of howler monkeys and waves breaking on white sand. This narrow strip of Pacific coast compresses rainforest, beach, and clifftop trails into a few walkable kilometres, so mornings can begin with sloths overhead and end with your feet in warm water. The rhythm here is tidal and unhurried—fresh ceviche at lunch, a swim before the afternoon rain, sunset from a hammock. The homes below open the door to that rhythm.

Frequently asked questions

How does home exchange on SwappaHome work?

You list your home, earn 1 credit for every night you host a guest, and spend those credits to stay at any other home in the network — always 1 credit per night. No money changes hands between members. New accounts start with 10 free credits, so you can book your first trip before you've hosted anyone.

Is it safe to swap homes with strangers?

Every member goes through identity verification before they can list or book. All conversations happen inside the SwappaHome platform — you never have to share your personal email or phone number to coordinate a swap. After each stay, guests and hosts leave mutual reviews — reputation is the foundation of the whole community, and members with low ratings lose access. For extra peace of mind, we recommend confirming house rules in writing before arrival.

Do I need to swap directly with the same person?

No. SwappaHome uses a credit system, not direct 1-to-1 swaps. You can host a family from Berlin and use the credits you earn to stay with a completely different host in Tokyo six months later. It makes travel dates, destinations and group sizes much easier to match.

Can I join if I don't own a home?

Yes — you can earn credits by hosting in a spare room, a long-term rental (if your lease allows guests) or by gifting/receiving credits from other members. You can also buy a starter pack if you want to travel before you host. Listing your primary home is the most common path, but it's not the only one.

When is the best time to visit Manuel Antonio?

Dry season runs December through April, delivering blue skies and calm seas ideal for snorkelling and beach days. Green season—May to November—brings afternoon showers that cool the air and empty the trails, plus lusher jungle and better wildlife spotting. The park and beaches stay accessible year-round, though some dirt roads soften in heavy rain. Shoulder months like November and early December offer a sweet spot: fewer crowds, lower humidity, and the forest still vivid from the rains.
