Home Exchange in Naples
No verified homes listed in Naples yet — the first hosts get priority placement.
Naples doesn't whisper — it shouts, sings, and sizzles. Washing lines stretch between ochre palazzi in the Spanish Quarter, while Vesuvius broods over the bay like a sleeping giant. This is the city that gave the world pizza, where espresso is a social sacrament and every corner reveals a Baroque chapel or a street-food vendor frying something golden. The centro storico pulses with moped engines and opera leaking from open windows. Beyond the chaos lies unexpected grace: the waterfront promenade at sunset, the quiet cloisters of Santa Chiara, the pastel villages clinging to the Amalfi cliffs just a train ride south.

Frequently asked questions
How does home exchange on SwappaHome work?
You list your home, earn 1 credit for every night you host a guest, and spend those credits to stay at any other home in the network — always 1 credit per night. No money changes hands between members. New accounts start with 10 free credits, so you can book your first trip before you've hosted anyone.
Is it safe to swap homes with strangers?
Every member goes through identity verification before they can list or book. All messages run through our encrypted chat. After each stay, guests and hosts leave mutual reviews — reputation is the foundation of the whole community, and members with low ratings lose access. For extra peace of mind, we recommend confirming house rules in writing before arrival.
Do I need to swap directly with the same person?
No. SwappaHome uses a credit system, not direct 1-to-1 swaps. You can host a family from Berlin and use the credits you earn to stay with a completely different host in Tokyo six months later. It makes travel dates, destinations and group sizes much easier to match.
Can I join if I don't own a home?
Yes — you can earn credits by hosting in a spare room, a long-term rental (if your lease allows guests) or by gifting/receiving credits from other members. You can also buy a starter pack if you want to travel before you host. Listing your primary home is the most common path, but it's not the only one.
Which neighbourhoods capture the real Naples?
The Spanish Quarter — Quartieri Spagnoli — is Naples unfiltered: narrow alleys, laundry overhead, tiny workshops, and the city's best sfogliatelle. Vomero, up the hill, offers breathing room and panoramic views. For seaside calm, Posillipo stretches along the coast with villa gardens and fish restaurants. The centro storico around Spaccanapoli is the ancient heart, where Greek streets meet medieval churches and every piazza hums with life. Each neighbourhood has its own dialect, its own rhythm, its own claim to being the most Neapolitan of all.
