Home Exchange in Turin

No verified homes listed in Turin yet — the first hosts get priority placement.

Turin sits in the shadow of the Alps, a city of arcaded streets and baroque palaces where the smell of roasting hazelnuts drifts from century-old chocolate shops. The Mole Antonelliana punctures the skyline, while the Po River curves through neighbourhoods that shift from regal Crocetta to the grittier charm of San Salvario, where aperitivo spills onto cobblestones. Winter brings fog and the promise of nearby ski slopes; spring turns the hills around Superga violet with wisteria. This is Piedmont's elegant, unshowy capital — a place that rewards slow mornings with espresso and tramezzini, evenings with vermouth in hand.

Frequently asked questions

How does home exchange on SwappaHome work?

You list your home, earn 1 credit for every night you host a guest, and spend those credits to stay at any other home in the network — always 1 credit per night. No money changes hands between members. New accounts start with 10 free credits, so you can book your first trip before you've hosted anyone.

Is it safe to swap homes with strangers?

Every member goes through identity verification before they can list or book. All messages run through our encrypted chat. After each stay, guests and hosts leave mutual reviews — reputation is the foundation of the whole community, and members with low ratings lose access. For extra peace of mind, we recommend confirming house rules in writing before arrival.

Do I need to swap directly with the same person?

No. SwappaHome uses a credit system, not direct 1-to-1 swaps. You can host a family from Berlin and use the credits you earn to stay with a completely different host in Tokyo six months later. It makes travel dates, destinations and group sizes much easier to match.

Can I join if I don't own a home?

Yes — you can earn credits by hosting in a spare room, a long-term rental (if your lease allows guests) or by gifting/receiving credits from other members. You can also buy a starter pack if you want to travel before you host. Listing your primary home is the most common path, but it's not the only one.

What's the best time to experience Turin?

Spring and autumn feel gentlest — mild days for wandering the arcades, sitting in Valentino Park, or taking the rack railway up to Superga. Winter can be foggy and cold, but it's magical if you're drawn to cosy cafés, truffle season, and easy access to Alpine skiing. Summer gets warm, though the mountains are close if you need an escape. September's particularly lovely: the city shakes off August's quiet, galleries reopen, and the light turns golden over the river.
