Home Exchange in Denver
No verified homes listed in Denver yet — the first hosts get priority placement.
Denver sits a mile above sea level, where the Great Plains meet the Rockies in a collision of prairie light and mountain shadow. The air here feels thin and bright, sharpening the edges of downtown's glass towers and the peaks that loom west. Neighbourhoods like RiNo pulse with murals and breweries, while Capitol Hill's Victorian porches and tree-lined streets hold a quieter kind of charm. This is a city that wakes early for trail runs and stays out late for green chile and live music, where you can ski in the morning and sit on a sunny patio by afternoon.

Frequently asked questions
How does home exchange on SwappaHome work?
You list your home, earn 1 credit for every night you host a guest, and spend those credits to stay at any other home in the network — always 1 credit per night. No money changes hands between members. New accounts start with 10 free credits, so you can book your first trip before you've hosted anyone.
Is it safe to swap homes with strangers?
Every member goes through identity verification before they can list or book. All messages run through our encrypted chat. After each stay, guests and hosts leave mutual reviews — reputation is the foundation of the whole community, and members with low ratings lose access. For extra peace of mind, we recommend confirming house rules in writing before arrival.
Do I need to swap directly with the same person?
No. SwappaHome uses a credit system, not direct 1-to-1 swaps. You can host a family from Berlin and use the credits you earn to stay with a completely different host in Tokyo six months later. It makes travel dates, destinations and group sizes much easier to match.
Can I join if I don't own a home?
Yes — you can earn credits by hosting in a spare room, a long-term rental (if your lease allows guests) or by gifting/receiving credits from other members. You can also buy a starter pack if you want to travel before you host. Listing your primary home is the most common path, but it's not the only one.
What's the best time of year to experience Denver?
Spring and fall offer the sweetest weather—warm days, cool nights, and fewer crowds on the trails. Summer brings festival season and long evenings, though afternoon thunderstorms roll in fast from the mountains. Winter is for skiers, with easy access to world-class resorts, but the city itself stays surprisingly mild and sunny. September and October are particularly magical, when aspens turn gold in the high country and the urban parks glow amber under that famous Colorado light.
