Home Exchange in Da Nang
No verified homes listed in Da Nang yet — the first hosts get priority placement.
Da Nang curves along central Vietnam's coast where the Hàn River meets the South China Sea. Mornings smell of bánh mì and coffee dripping through metal filters; evenings bring the clatter of motorbikes crossing the Dragon Bridge as it breathes neon fire. The Marble Mountains rise abruptly from flat paddies, their caves cool and incense-scented. Non Nuoc Beach stretches wide and pale, backed by seafood shacks grilling razor clams. This is a city rebuilding itself—sleek high-rises beside colonial shells, ancient Cham sites a short ride from surf towns. The pace feels easier than Hanoi or Saigon, but the energy hums.

Frequently asked questions
How does home exchange on SwappaHome work?
You list your home, earn 1 credit for every night you host a guest, and spend those credits to stay at any other home in the network — always 1 credit per night. No money changes hands between members. New accounts start with 10 free credits, so you can book your first trip before you've hosted anyone.
Is it safe to swap homes with strangers?
Every member goes through identity verification before they can list or book. All messages run through our encrypted chat. After each stay, guests and hosts leave mutual reviews — reputation is the foundation of the whole community, and members with low ratings lose access. For extra peace of mind, we recommend confirming house rules in writing before arrival.
Do I need to swap directly with the same person?
No. SwappaHome uses a credit system, not direct 1-to-1 swaps. You can host a family from Berlin and use the credits you earn to stay with a completely different host in Tokyo six months later. It makes travel dates, destinations and group sizes much easier to match.
Can I join if I don't own a home?
Yes — you can earn credits by hosting in a spare room, a long-term rental (if your lease allows guests) or by gifting/receiving credits from other members. You can also buy a starter pack if you want to travel before you host. Listing your primary home is the most common path, but it's not the only one.
When's the best time to visit Da Nang?
February through May brings warm, dry days—ideal for beaches and the coastal road to Hoi An. Summers grow hot and humid; September through December can see heavy rains and occasional typhoons. The Tết holiday (lunar new year, late January or February) fills the city with families and festivities, though some businesses close. Shoulder months like March and October balance good weather with fewer crowds, and the surrounding countryside stays lush year-round.
