Home Exchange in Koh Phi Phi
No verified homes listed in Koh Phi Phi yet — the first hosts get priority placement.
The longtail boats arrive before sunrise, their engines cutting through the Andaman's glass-still water. Koh Phi Phi wakes to the smell of grilled squid and sweet Thai coffee drifting from shophouse kitchens, long before the day-trippers flood the piers. To live here—even briefly—is to know the island by its off-hours: the empty Maya Bay at dusk, the village cats weaving between laundry lines, the rhythm of monsoon rain on a tin roof. The homes below open the door to that quieter archipelago.

Frequently asked questions
How does home exchange on SwappaHome work?
You list your home, earn 1 credit for every night you host a guest, and spend those credits to stay at any other home in the network — always 1 credit per night. No money changes hands between members. New accounts start with 7 free credits — one full week — so you can book your first trip before you've hosted anyone.
Is it safe to swap homes with strangers?
Every member goes through identity verification before they can list or book. All conversations happen inside the SwappaHome platform — you never have to share your personal email or phone number to coordinate a swap. After each stay, guests and hosts leave mutual reviews — reputation is the foundation of the whole community, and members with low ratings lose access. For extra peace of mind, we recommend confirming house rules in writing before arrival.
Do I need to swap directly with the same person?
No. SwappaHome uses a credit system, not direct 1-to-1 swaps. You can host a family from Berlin and use the credits you earn to stay with a completely different host in Tokyo six months later. It makes travel dates, destinations and group sizes much easier to match.
Can I join if I don't own a home?
Yes — you can earn credits by hosting in a spare room, a long-term rental (if your lease allows guests) or by gifting/receiving credits from other members. You can also buy a starter pack if you want to travel before you host. Listing your primary home is the most common path, but it's not the only one.
When's the best time to stay on Koh Phi Phi?
November through March brings calm seas and bright skies—peak season, but mornings and evenings still belong to locals. April and May are hot and less crowded, ideal if you don't mind the heat. The monsoon (June to October) means fewer tourists and dramatic skies, though some boat services pause and rain comes in heavy, short bursts. Shoulder months like late October or early November offer the best of both: manageable crowds and reliable weather.
