No listings matched yet in Cyprus — be the first host
Cyprus reveals itself differently depending on where you settle. The walled old town of Nicosia hums with artisan workshops and family-run tavernas, while Limassol's seafront promenades blend cosmopolitan energy with beachside ease. Paphos neighbourhoods wind through archaeological sites where Roman mosaics peek from residential streets, and the mountain villages of Troodos offer stone houses with vine-shaded courtyards. Each district carries its own rhythm—some wake to fishermen's calls, others to church bells echoing off Venetian walls. Choosing your neighbourhood here means choosing your daily soundtrack, your corner bakery, the view from your morning coffee spot.

Frequently asked questions
How does home exchange on SwappaHome work?
You list your home, earn 1 credit for every night you host a guest, and spend those credits to stay at any other home in the network — always 1 credit per night. No money changes hands between members. New accounts start with 10 free credits, so you can book your first trip before you've hosted anyone.
Is it safe to swap homes with strangers?
Every member goes through identity verification before they can list or book. All messages run through our encrypted chat. After each stay, guests and hosts leave mutual reviews — reputation is the foundation of the whole community, and members with low ratings lose access. For extra peace of mind, we recommend confirming house rules in writing before arrival.
Do I need to swap directly with the same person?
No. SwappaHome uses a credit system, not direct 1-to-1 swaps. You can host a family from Berlin and use the credits you earn to stay with a completely different host in Tokyo six months later. It makes travel dates, destinations and group sizes much easier to match.
Can I join if I don't own a home?
Yes — you can earn credits by hosting in a spare room, a long-term rental (if your lease allows guests) or by gifting/receiving credits from other members. You can also buy a starter pack if you want to travel before you host. Listing your primary home is the most common path, but it's not the only one.
What should I know about choosing a neighbourhood in Cyprus for a home exchange?
Consider your daily rhythm first. Coastal neighbourhoods like Limassol's old port or Larnaca's Finikoudes offer walkable waterfronts and evening promenades, but can buzz with tourist activity in summer. Nicosia's walled city puts you in the island's cultural heart with museums and markets, though it's inland without beach access. Mountain villages like Kakopetria or Platres provide cooler temperatures and hiking trails, but require a car for coastal trips. Most residential areas blend Greek and Turkish Cypriot heritage, with local bakeries, produce markets, and kafeneia that anchor neighbourhood life. Parking varies widely—old town lanes are tight, newer suburbs more spacious.
