Home Exchange in Seminyak
No verified homes listed in Seminyak yet — the first hosts get priority placement.
Seminyak stretches along Bali's southwest coast where rice paddies once met the sea, now a sun-bleached ribbon of beach clubs, boutique shops, and villas tucked down narrow gangs. Mornings smell of frangipani and strong kopi; by afternoon, the shore fills with surfers and sunset-watchers nursing cold Bintangs. The vibe skews relaxed but polished—think linen, open-air restaurants serving grilled seafood, and a rhythm that follows the tide rather than the clock. Petitenget temple anchors the north end, a reminder that ceremonies and offerings still shape daily life here, even as the beachfront hums with visitors.

Frequently asked questions
How does home exchange on SwappaHome work?
You list your home, earn 1 credit for every night you host a guest, and spend those credits to stay at any other home in the network — always 1 credit per night. No money changes hands between members. New accounts start with 10 free credits, so you can book your first trip before you've hosted anyone.
Is it safe to swap homes with strangers?
Every member goes through identity verification before they can list or book. All messages run through our encrypted chat. After each stay, guests and hosts leave mutual reviews — reputation is the foundation of the whole community, and members with low ratings lose access. For extra peace of mind, we recommend confirming house rules in writing before arrival.
Do I need to swap directly with the same person?
No. SwappaHome uses a credit system, not direct 1-to-1 swaps. You can host a family from Berlin and use the credits you earn to stay with a completely different host in Tokyo six months later. It makes travel dates, destinations and group sizes much easier to match.
Can I join if I don't own a home?
Yes — you can earn credits by hosting in a spare room, a long-term rental (if your lease allows guests) or by gifting/receiving credits from other members. You can also buy a starter pack if you want to travel before you host. Listing your primary home is the most common path, but it's not the only one.
Which part of Seminyak feels most residential?
Head inland from the beach strip toward Petitenget or Kerobokan, where the streets narrow and local warungs outnumber cocktail bars. You'll find family-run laundries, neighborhood temples with daily offerings, and villas set behind high walls draped in bougainvillea. The surf noise fades, replaced by roosters and motorbike putters. It's quieter, greener, and still an easy bike ride to the shore—just with more of the everyday Bali rhythm intact.
