Home Exchange in Phuket
No verified homes listed in Phuket yet — the first hosts get priority placement.
Phuket hums with contradictions: longtail boats bobbing beside luxury yachts, incense smoke drifting from spirit houses near beachfront bars, the crack of woks in Old Town shophouses where Sino-Portuguese facades glow peach and mint. Beyond the famous crescents of sand, jungle-clad hills hide viewpoints where the Andaman shimmers turquoise to the horizon. Mornings smell of grilled satay and sweet roti, evenings of frangipani and salt. Whether you're drawn to the quieter coves of the west coast or the buzz of night markets, the island moves between serenity and celebration without choosing sides.

Frequently asked questions
How does home exchange on SwappaHome work?
You list your home, earn 1 credit for every night you host a guest, and spend those credits to stay at any other home in the network — always 1 credit per night. No money changes hands between members. New accounts start with 10 free credits, so you can book your first trip before you've hosted anyone.
Is it safe to swap homes with strangers?
Every member goes through identity verification before they can list or book. All messages run through our encrypted chat. After each stay, guests and hosts leave mutual reviews — reputation is the foundation of the whole community, and members with low ratings lose access. For extra peace of mind, we recommend confirming house rules in writing before arrival.
Do I need to swap directly with the same person?
No. SwappaHome uses a credit system, not direct 1-to-1 swaps. You can host a family from Berlin and use the credits you earn to stay with a completely different host in Tokyo six months later. It makes travel dates, destinations and group sizes much easier to match.
Can I join if I don't own a home?
Yes — you can earn credits by hosting in a spare room, a long-term rental (if your lease allows guests) or by gifting/receiving credits from other members. You can also buy a starter pack if you want to travel before you host. Listing your primary home is the most common path, but it's not the only one.
When's the best time to visit Phuket?
November through February brings the driest skies and gentlest seas—peak season, but for good reason. March and April turn hot and still before the monsoon arrives in May. The green season (May to October) sees afternoon downpours and fewer crowds; mornings often break clear, and the island feels lush and unhurried. Avoid late September and October when storms can linger for days. If you're chasing calm water for snorkelling, stick to the drier months.
