Home Exchange in Kas
No verified homes listed in Kas yet — the first hosts get priority placement.
Kaş clings to the Turkish Mediterranean like a secret whispered between mountain and sea. Bougainvillea spills over whitewashed walls in the old quarter, where narrow lanes open suddenly onto views of Greek islands shimmering on the horizon. Mornings smell of simit and strong tea; evenings belong to meyhanes where locals linger over meze and rakı. Below the town, ancient Lycian tombs carved into cliffs watch over turquoise coves accessible only by boat or footpath. This is slow Riviera—no mega-resorts, just family-run pensions, dive shops, and a harbor where wooden gulets creak gently against their moorings.

Frequently asked questions
How does home exchange on SwappaHome work?
You list your home, earn 1 credit for every night you host a guest, and spend those credits to stay at any other home in the network — always 1 credit per night. No money changes hands between members. New accounts start with 10 free credits, so you can book your first trip before you've hosted anyone.
Is it safe to swap homes with strangers?
Every member goes through identity verification before they can list or book. All messages run through our encrypted chat. After each stay, guests and hosts leave mutual reviews — reputation is the foundation of the whole community, and members with low ratings lose access. For extra peace of mind, we recommend confirming house rules in writing before arrival.
Do I need to swap directly with the same person?
No. SwappaHome uses a credit system, not direct 1-to-1 swaps. You can host a family from Berlin and use the credits you earn to stay with a completely different host in Tokyo six months later. It makes travel dates, destinations and group sizes much easier to match.
Can I join if I don't own a home?
Yes — you can earn credits by hosting in a spare room, a long-term rental (if your lease allows guests) or by gifting/receiving credits from other members. You can also buy a starter pack if you want to travel before you host. Listing your primary home is the most common path, but it's not the only one.
When is the best time to visit Kaş?
Late spring and early autumn offer the sweetest balance: warm enough for swimming, cool enough for hiking the Lycian Way. May and June bring wildflowers to the hills and calm seas for diving. September and October keep the water warm while the crowds thin and taverna tables become easier to claim. July and August blaze hot and busy. Winter turns Kaş quiet and mild—some businesses close, but locals reclaim the town, and you can walk the harbor in solitude under clear skies.
