Home Exchange in Casablanca

No verified homes listed in Casablanca yet — the first hosts get priority placement.

The Atlantic crashes against the Corniche at dusk, and the city exhales—office workers spill into art deco cafés for mint tea, the Hassan II Mosque glows white against the darkening sky, and the scent of grilled sardines drifts from the port. Casablanca isn't the postcard Morocco of riads and souks; it's the working heart, where French boulevards meet Moroccan hustle, where modernist architecture stands alongside crumbling colonial facades, and where locals actually live rather than perform for cameras. The homes below open the door to that rhythm—the early morning bread runs in Maarif, the sunset walks along Ain Diab, the weeknight dinners that stretch past midnight.

Frequently asked questions

How does home exchange on SwappaHome work?

You list your home, earn 1 credit for every night you host a guest, and spend those credits to stay at any other home in the network — always 1 credit per night. No money changes hands between members. New accounts start with 7 free credits — one full week — so you can book your first trip before you've hosted anyone.

Is it safe to swap homes with strangers?

Every member goes through identity verification before they can list or book. All conversations happen inside the SwappaHome platform — you never have to share your personal email or phone number to coordinate a swap. After each stay, guests and hosts leave mutual reviews — reputation is the foundation of the whole community, and members with low ratings lose access. For extra peace of mind, we recommend confirming house rules in writing before arrival.

Do I need to swap directly with the same person?

No. SwappaHome uses a credit system, not direct 1-to-1 swaps. You can host a family from Berlin and use the credits you earn to stay with a completely different host in Tokyo six months later. It makes travel dates, destinations and group sizes much easier to match.

Can I join if I don't own a home?

Yes — you can earn credits by hosting in a spare room, a long-term rental (if your lease allows guests) or by gifting/receiving credits from other members. You can also buy a starter pack if you want to travel before you host. Listing your primary home is the most common path, but it's not the only one.

Which neighbourhoods in Casablanca feel most authentic?

Maarif pulses with young energy—cafés, bookshops, and the kind of street life that spills across sidewalks. The Old Medina near the port is grittier, less polished than Marrakech or Fes, but real in its daily commerce. Ain Diab hugs the coast with beach clubs and seafood grills, while Gauthier and Racine showcase the city's art deco bones—wide boulevards, wrought-iron balconies, and corner patisseries that haven't changed in decades. Casablanca rewards wandering between these worlds rather than settling into one.
