Home Exchange in Jaipur
No verified homes listed in Jaipur yet — the first hosts get priority placement.
The clatter of bicycle bells mixes with the call of peacocks at dawn, and by mid-morning the old city glows rose-pink under a sky bleached white by heat. Jaipur rewards slow mornings in residential lanes — chai sipped on a rooftop, the scent of marigolds drying on a balcony, the rhythm of a neighbourhood that doesn't perform for tourists. Hotels keep you at arm's length from that cadence; a local home drops you into the middle of it, where spice merchants know your face by day three and evening walks lead to temple courtyards instead of lobbies. The homes below open the door to that rhythm.

Frequently asked questions
How does home exchange on SwappaHome work?
You list your home, earn 1 credit for every night you host a guest, and spend those credits to stay at any other home in the network — always 1 credit per night. No money changes hands between members. New accounts start with 7 free credits — one full week — so you can book your first trip before you've hosted anyone.
Is it safe to swap homes with strangers?
Every member goes through identity verification before they can list or book. All conversations happen inside the SwappaHome platform — you never have to share your personal email or phone number to coordinate a swap. After each stay, guests and hosts leave mutual reviews — reputation is the foundation of the whole community, and members with low ratings lose access. For extra peace of mind, we recommend confirming house rules in writing before arrival.
Do I need to swap directly with the same person?
No. SwappaHome uses a credit system, not direct 1-to-1 swaps. You can host a family from Berlin and use the credits you earn to stay with a completely different host in Tokyo six months later. It makes travel dates, destinations and group sizes much easier to match.
Can I join if I don't own a home?
Yes — you can earn credits by hosting in a spare room, a long-term rental (if your lease allows guests) or by gifting/receiving credits from other members. You can also buy a starter pack if you want to travel before you host. Listing your primary home is the most common path, but it's not the only one.
When's the best time to visit Jaipur?
October through March brings clear skies and bearable heat — perfect for wandering the old city's bazaars and hilltop forts without wilting. Winter mornings can be crisp enough for a shawl. April and May turn furnace-hot, though locals say the monsoon arrival in July feels like the city exhaling. If you can handle the warmth, late September offers post-rain greenery and thinner crowds before the tourist season kicks in.
