Singapore offers couples a rare blend of urban sophistication and unexpected intimacy. Wander hand-in-hand through the Botanic Gardens' orchid corners at dawn, share laksa at a hawker centre tucked behind gleaming towers, or watch the city light up from a rooftop bar in Chinatown. The compact geography means you can breakfast in a colonial shophouse, afternoon-stroll through Little India's spice-scented lanes, and end the evening along the riverside quays—all without the fatigue of sprawling distances. It's a city that rewards slow exploration between its efficient bursts, where every neighbourhood unfolds its own rhythm and flavour.
Why Singapore works for for couples
Homes, not hotel rooms
Live in a real Singapore home — kitchen, balcony, neighbourhood rhythm — instead of a generic hotel room.
Fair by design
1 credit = 1 night. Every home is worth the same. No bidding, no haggling, no price surges.
Curated for for couples
We prioritise wifi, kitchen · apartment, villa, cottages — the kind of homes that actually fit the travel style.

Frequently asked questions
How does home exchange on SwappaHome work?
You list your home, earn 1 credit for every night you host a guest, and spend those credits to stay at any other home in the network — always 1 credit per night. No money changes hands between members. New accounts start with 10 free credits, so you can book your first trip before you've hosted anyone.
Is it safe to swap homes with strangers?
Every member goes through identity verification before they can list or book. All messages run through our encrypted chat. After each stay, guests and hosts leave mutual reviews — reputation is the foundation of the whole community, and members with low ratings lose access. For extra peace of mind, we recommend confirming house rules in writing before arrival.
Do I need to swap directly with the same person?
No. SwappaHome uses a credit system, not direct 1-to-1 swaps. You can host a family from Berlin and use the credits you earn to stay with a completely different host in Tokyo six months later. It makes travel dates, destinations and group sizes much easier to match.
Can I join if I don't own a home?
Yes — you can earn credits by hosting in a spare room, a long-term rental (if your lease allows guests) or by gifting/receiving credits from other members. You can also buy a starter pack if you want to travel before you host. Listing your primary home is the most common path, but it's not the only one.
Which neighbourhoods in Singapore feel most romantic for couples?
Tiong Bahru charms with its art deco blocks, indie bookshops, and quiet morning bakeries—perfect for leisurely weekends. Kampong Glam offers narrow lanes, Persian rugs, and golden-domed mosques that glow at dusk. For waterfront strolls, Robertson Quay and Boat Quay blend riverside dining with heritage architecture. Avoid the tourist crush of Marina Bay at peak hours; instead, explore the Southern Ridges canopy walk at sunset or find a hidden bar in Keong Saik Road's converted shophouses.
