No listings matched yet in Thailand — be the first host
Thailand unfolds as a natural canvas for couples seeking both intimacy and adventure. From the limestone karsts rising out of Andaman waters to the lantern-lit temples of the north, the country balances quiet romance with sensory richness. You'll find yourselves sharing pad thai at a night market in Chiang Mai, watching the sun drop behind Railay Beach's cliffs, or navigating Bangkok's rooftop bars as the city glows below. The pace here rewards slow mornings and spontaneous detours—whether that's a cooking class in a family kitchen, a longtail boat to a hidden cove, or simply lingering over iced coffee in a neighbourhood you weren't planning to explore.
Why Thailand works for for couples
Homes, not hotel rooms
Live in a real Thailand home — kitchen, balcony, neighbourhood rhythm — instead of a generic hotel room.
Fair by design
1 credit = 1 night. Every home is worth the same. No bidding, no haggling, no price surges.
Curated for for couples
We prioritise wifi, kitchen · apartment, villa, cottages — the kind of homes that actually fit the travel style.

Frequently asked questions
How does home exchange on SwappaHome work?
You list your home, earn 1 credit for every night you host a guest, and spend those credits to stay at any other home in the network — always 1 credit per night. No money changes hands between members. New accounts start with 10 free credits, so you can book your first trip before you've hosted anyone.
Is it safe to swap homes with strangers?
Every member goes through identity verification before they can list or book. All messages run through our encrypted chat. After each stay, guests and hosts leave mutual reviews — reputation is the foundation of the whole community, and members with low ratings lose access. For extra peace of mind, we recommend confirming house rules in writing before arrival.
Do I need to swap directly with the same person?
No. SwappaHome uses a credit system, not direct 1-to-1 swaps. You can host a family from Berlin and use the credits you earn to stay with a completely different host in Tokyo six months later. It makes travel dates, destinations and group sizes much easier to match.
Can I join if I don't own a home?
Yes — you can earn credits by hosting in a spare room, a long-term rental (if your lease allows guests) or by gifting/receiving credits from other members. You can also buy a starter pack if you want to travel before you host. Listing your primary home is the most common path, but it's not the only one.
What are the most romantic experiences couples shouldn't miss in Thailand?
Start with a private longtail boat to the Phi Phi islands at golden hour, or book a sunset dinner on a traditional rice barge in Bangkok. In the north, releasing lanterns together during Yi Peng festival in Chiang Mai feels transcendent. For quieter moments, explore the art galleries and organic cafes of Chiang Rai, or take a couples' Thai massage course in a temple setting. The southern islands—especially Koh Lanta and Koh Yao Noi—offer beachfront bungalows where you can wake to nothing but waves and jungle birds.
