Home Exchange in Granada

No verified homes listed in Granada yet — the first hosts get priority placement.

Granada unfolds in layers: the russet fortifications of the Alhambra catching late sun, the narrow lanes of the Albaicín where jasmine spills over whitewashed walls, the hiss of espresso machines in Plaza Nueva at dawn. This is a city that moves between centuries without fuss—flamenco echoes from cave bars in Sacromonte, university students fill terrace tables with laughter, and the Sierra Nevada looms close enough to ski in the morning and return for tapas by evening. Here, every drink comes with a free plate, and every corner holds a fragment of Moorish memory.

Frequently asked questions

How does home exchange on SwappaHome work?

You list your home, earn 1 credit for every night you host a guest, and spend those credits to stay at any other home in the network — always 1 credit per night. No money changes hands between members. New accounts start with 10 free credits, so you can book your first trip before you've hosted anyone.

Is it safe to swap homes with strangers?

Every member goes through identity verification before they can list or book. All messages run through our encrypted chat. After each stay, guests and hosts leave mutual reviews — reputation is the foundation of the whole community, and members with low ratings lose access. For extra peace of mind, we recommend confirming house rules in writing before arrival.

Do I need to swap directly with the same person?

No. SwappaHome uses a credit system, not direct 1-to-1 swaps. You can host a family from Berlin and use the credits you earn to stay with a completely different host in Tokyo six months later. It makes travel dates, destinations and group sizes much easier to match.

Can I join if I don't own a home?

Yes — you can earn credits by hosting in a spare room, a long-term rental (if your lease allows guests) or by gifting/receiving credits from other members. You can also buy a starter pack if you want to travel before you host. Listing your primary home is the most common path, but it's not the only one.

Which neighbourhoods capture Granada's character best?

The Albaicín is Granada's Moorish heart—steep cobbled streets, tea houses, and postcard views of the Alhambra from Mirador de San Nicolás. Realejo, the old Jewish quarter, feels quieter, with art studios and family-run tabernas. Sacromonte, carved into hillside caves, pulses with flamenco and Roma heritage. For everyday rhythms, the Centro around Gran Vía offers markets, cinemas, and the kind of neighbourhood bars where locals nurse a morning cortado. Each holds a different slice of the city's layered past.
