For Digital Nomads Home Exchange in Turkey

Reliable WiFi, proper desks, and walkable neighbourhoods.

No listings matched yet in Turkey be the first host

Turkey bridges continents and connects digital nomads to a rhythm that balances ancient inspiration with modern infrastructure. Istanbul's Kadıköy and Beyoğlu districts hum with specialty coffee shops where reliable fibre internet meets Bosphorus views, while coastal Antalya and Bodrum offer sunlit co-working spaces steps from the Mediterranean. The cost of living stretches budgets further than most European hubs—fresh produce markets, affordable SIM cards with strong 4G coverage, and spacious apartments are the norm. Time zones favour calls with both European and Asian clients, and the food culture means you'll never eat the same meze twice.

Why Turkey works for for digital nomads

Homes, not hotel rooms

Live in a real Turkey home — kitchen, balcony, neighbourhood rhythm — instead of a generic hotel room.

Fair by design

1 credit = 1 night. Every home is worth the same. No bidding, no haggling, no price surges.

Curated for for digital nomads

We prioritise wifi, workspace · apartment, houses — the kind of homes that actually fit the travel style.

Frequently asked questions

How does home exchange on SwappaHome work?

You list your home, earn 1 credit for every night you host a guest, and spend those credits to stay at any other home in the network — always 1 credit per night. No money changes hands between members. New accounts start with 10 free credits, so you can book your first trip before you've hosted anyone.

Is it safe to swap homes with strangers?

Every member goes through identity verification before they can list or book. All messages run through our encrypted chat. After each stay, guests and hosts leave mutual reviews — reputation is the foundation of the whole community, and members with low ratings lose access. For extra peace of mind, we recommend confirming house rules in writing before arrival.

Do I need to swap directly with the same person?

No. SwappaHome uses a credit system, not direct 1-to-1 swaps. You can host a family from Berlin and use the credits you earn to stay with a completely different host in Tokyo six months later. It makes travel dates, destinations and group sizes much easier to match.

Can I join if I don't own a home?

Yes — you can earn credits by hosting in a spare room, a long-term rental (if your lease allows guests) or by gifting/receiving credits from other members. You can also buy a starter pack if you want to travel before you host. Listing your primary home is the most common path, but it's not the only one.

How reliable is internet connectivity for remote work across Turkey?

Major cities like Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir offer widespread fibre-optic connections with speeds often exceeding 50 Mbps, and most modern apartments come pre-wired. Coastal towns such as Antalya and Fethiye have invested heavily in digital infrastructure to attract remote workers, with co-working spaces providing backup connectivity. Mobile data through Turkcell or Vodafone Turkey is fast and inexpensive—tourist SIM cards with generous data allowances cost a fraction of Western European rates. Power cuts are rare in urban areas, though having a portable battery for your router is wise in smaller villages.
