Home Exchange in Córdoba
No verified homes listed in Córdoba yet — the first hosts get priority placement.
Córdoba hums with a restless energy that feels distinctly its own — Argentina's second city wears its university town identity proudly, with student cafés spilling onto colonial sidewalks and a nightlife that stretches past dawn. Beyond the centro histórico, where Jesuit architecture meets street art, the sierras rise in gentle waves, promising weekend escapes to mountain villages where locals still cure salami the old way. This is a city that invented the fernet-and-cola ritual, where choripán vendors work the plazas at sunset, and where porteño pretension dissolves into something warmer, more direct.

Frequently asked questions
How does home exchange on SwappaHome work?
You list your home, earn 1 credit for every night you host a guest, and spend those credits to stay at any other home in the network — always 1 credit per night. No money changes hands between members. New accounts start with 10 free credits, so you can book your first trip before you've hosted anyone.
Is it safe to swap homes with strangers?
Every member goes through identity verification before they can list or book. All messages run through our encrypted chat. After each stay, guests and hosts leave mutual reviews — reputation is the foundation of the whole community, and members with low ratings lose access. For extra peace of mind, we recommend confirming house rules in writing before arrival.
Do I need to swap directly with the same person?
No. SwappaHome uses a credit system, not direct 1-to-1 swaps. You can host a family from Berlin and use the credits you earn to stay with a completely different host in Tokyo six months later. It makes travel dates, destinations and group sizes much easier to match.
Can I join if I don't own a home?
Yes — you can earn credits by hosting in a spare room, a long-term rental (if your lease allows guests) or by gifting/receiving credits from other members. You can also buy a starter pack if you want to travel before you host. Listing your primary home is the most common path, but it's not the only one.
Which neighbourhoods capture Córdoba's character best?
Nueva Córdoba pulses with student life — think late-night bookshops, craft beer bars, and the Parque Sarmiento sprawl where half the city seems to jog at dusk. Güemes, just north, skews bohemian: vintage shops, theatre spaces, murals climbing every available wall. For a quieter rhythm, Cerro de las Rosas offers tree-lined streets and family parrillas. The historic centre remains the heart, especially along Cañada for evening paseos, though locals tend to live and socialise in the barrios radiating outward.
