Home Exchange in Boracay

No verified homes listed in Boracay yet — the first hosts get priority placement.

Boracay mornings start with the sound of outrigger hulls scraping sand and the smell of grilling tuna from beachside shacks. Beyond the postcard clichés of White Beach, the island rewards slower rhythms: dawn swims before the crowds arrive, afternoons spent hunting for fresh calamansi at D'Mall, evenings when the wind picks up and kitesurfers carve arcs against the sunset. Staying in a local home here means waking to the same light that fishermen do, learning which bakery makes the warmest pandesal, and understanding why islanders treasure the quiet side of Bulabog. The homes below open the door to that rhythm.

Frequently asked questions

How does home exchange on SwappaHome work?

You list your home, earn 1 credit for every night you host a guest, and spend those credits to stay at any other home in the network — always 1 credit per night. No money changes hands between members. New accounts start with 7 free credits — one full week — so you can book your first trip before you've hosted anyone.

Is it safe to swap homes with strangers?

Every member goes through identity verification before they can list or book. All conversations happen inside the SwappaHome platform — you never have to share your personal email or phone number to coordinate a swap. After each stay, guests and hosts leave mutual reviews — reputation is the foundation of the whole community, and members with low ratings lose access. For extra peace of mind, we recommend confirming house rules in writing before arrival.

Do I need to swap directly with the same person?

No. SwappaHome uses a credit system, not direct 1-to-1 swaps. You can host a family from Berlin and use the credits you earn to stay with a completely different host in Tokyo six months later. It makes travel dates, destinations and group sizes much easier to match.

Can I join if I don't own a home?

Yes — you can earn credits by hosting in a spare room, a long-term rental (if your lease allows guests) or by gifting/receiving credits from other members. You can also buy a starter pack if you want to travel before you host. Listing your primary home is the most common path, but it's not the only one.

When's the best time to visit Boracay?

The dry season from November to May brings calm seas and steady sun, ideal for swimming and island-hopping. December through February sees cooler evenings and the northeast wind that draws kitesurfers to Bulabog Beach. The wet season from June to October brings afternoon rains and fewer crowds—some locals call it the island's breathing season, when green returns to the hills and accommodation feels more intimate. Typhoons occasionally close the island during these months, so flexibility helps.
