Home Exchange in Palawan
No verified homes listed in Palawan yet — the first hosts get priority placement.
Palawan moves to the rhythm of outrigger boats scraping onto white sand at dawn and the rustle of nipa palms in the late afternoon breeze. This archipelago province rewards slow mornings in wooden beach towns, afternoons spent island-hopping through limestone karsts, and evenings where the catch of the day is grilled over coconut husks. To stay here like a local means waking to roosters instead of alarm clocks, buying mangoes from the sidecar vendor, and learning which barangay has the clearest snorkeling that week. The homes below open the door to that rhythm.

Frequently asked questions
How does home exchange on SwappaHome work?
You list your home, earn 1 credit for every night you host a guest, and spend those credits to stay at any other home in the network — always 1 credit per night. No money changes hands between members. New accounts start with 7 free credits — one full week — so you can book your first trip before you've hosted anyone.
Is it safe to swap homes with strangers?
Every member goes through identity verification before they can list or book. All conversations happen inside the SwappaHome platform — you never have to share your personal email or phone number to coordinate a swap. After each stay, guests and hosts leave mutual reviews — reputation is the foundation of the whole community, and members with low ratings lose access. For extra peace of mind, we recommend confirming house rules in writing before arrival.
Do I need to swap directly with the same person?
No. SwappaHome uses a credit system, not direct 1-to-1 swaps. You can host a family from Berlin and use the credits you earn to stay with a completely different host in Tokyo six months later. It makes travel dates, destinations and group sizes much easier to match.
Can I join if I don't own a home?
Yes — you can earn credits by hosting in a spare room, a long-term rental (if your lease allows guests) or by gifting/receiving credits from other members. You can also buy a starter pack if you want to travel before you host. Listing your primary home is the most common path, but it's not the only one.
When's the best time to visit Palawan?
The dry season from November through May offers the calmest seas and sunniest skies, ideal for island-hopping and diving. December to February brings cooler evenings and peak crowds in El Nido and Coron. March through May turns hotter but quieter, especially in Puerto Princesa and the less-touristed eastern coast. The wet season from June to October sees afternoon downpours and rougher waters, though inland rivers and waterfalls run fullest then, and accommodation prices drop across the province.
