No listings matched yet in Poland — be the first host
Poland rewards the curious traveller with layers of experience most visitors never expect. Wander Kraków's medieval squares at dawn before the crowds arrive, then descend into the Wieliczka Salt Mine's cathedral carved entirely from rock salt. The Baltic coast offers windswept dunes and amber-hunting beaches, while the Tatra Mountains deliver alpine trails that rival anything further west. Warsaw's rebuilt Old Town tells a story of resilience, and smaller cities like Wrocław surprise with their canal-side cafés and gnome-hunting culture. Between the pierogi tastings, folk festivals, and forgotten castles, Poland gives you the rare gift of discovery without the tourist circus.

Frequently asked questions
How does home exchange on SwappaHome work?
You list your home, earn 1 credit for every night you host a guest, and spend those credits to stay at any other home in the network — always 1 credit per night. No money changes hands between members. New accounts start with 10 free credits, so you can book your first trip before you've hosted anyone.
Is it safe to swap homes with strangers?
Every member goes through identity verification before they can list or book. All messages run through our encrypted chat. After each stay, guests and hosts leave mutual reviews — reputation is the foundation of the whole community, and members with low ratings lose access. For extra peace of mind, we recommend confirming house rules in writing before arrival.
Do I need to swap directly with the same person?
No. SwappaHome uses a credit system, not direct 1-to-1 swaps. You can host a family from Berlin and use the credits you earn to stay with a completely different host in Tokyo six months later. It makes travel dates, destinations and group sizes much easier to match.
Can I join if I don't own a home?
Yes — you can earn credits by hosting in a spare room, a long-term rental (if your lease allows guests) or by gifting/receiving credits from other members. You can also buy a starter pack if you want to travel before you host. Listing your primary home is the most common path, but it's not the only one.
What are some lesser-known experiences in Poland beyond the main tourist sites?
Venture to Białowieża Forest, Europe's last primeval woodland, where bison roam freely among ancient oaks. Explore the painted villages of Zalipie, where floral folk art covers every surface. In Toruń, wander medieval streets that feel untouched by time, sampling the gingerbread that's been baked here for centuries. The Bieszczady Mountains offer remote hiking through landscapes so empty you'll hear only birdsong, while the Masurian Lakes provide kayaking routes through interconnected waterways dotted with forgotten manors. These experiences reveal Poland's quieter, deeply textured side.
