Reliable WiFi, proper desks, and walkable neighbourhoods.
2 matching homes in Netherlands
The Netherlands offers digital nomads a rare combination: blazing-fast fibre internet, a deeply ingrained cafe culture where laptop work is the norm, and a compact geography that makes weekend exploration effortless. Dutch cities hum with English-speaking coworking hubs, reliable public transit, and a pragmatic attitude toward remote work that predates the trend. You'll find spacious apartments with proper desks, neighbourhoods where cycling replaces commuting, and a timezone that bridges calls between California and Singapore. The flat, bike-friendly infrastructure means you're never far from a canal-side workspace or a quiet park when you need to reset between meetings.

Frequently asked questions
How does home exchange on SwappaHome work?
You list your home, earn 1 credit for every night you host a guest, and spend those credits to stay at any other home in the network — always 1 credit per night. No money changes hands between members. New accounts start with 10 free credits, so you can book your first trip before you've hosted anyone.
Is it safe to swap homes with strangers?
Every member goes through identity verification before they can list or book. All messages run through our encrypted chat. After each stay, guests and hosts leave mutual reviews — reputation is the foundation of the whole community, and members with low ratings lose access. For extra peace of mind, we recommend confirming house rules in writing before arrival.
Do I need to swap directly with the same person?
No. SwappaHome uses a credit system, not direct 1-to-1 swaps. You can host a family from Berlin and use the credits you earn to stay with a completely different host in Tokyo six months later. It makes travel dates, destinations and group sizes much easier to match.
Can I join if I don't own a home?
Yes — you can earn credits by hosting in a spare room, a long-term rental (if your lease allows guests) or by gifting/receiving credits from other members. You can also buy a starter pack if you want to travel before you host. Listing your primary home is the most common path, but it's not the only one.
How many homes are available for exchange in Netherlands?
Right now there are 2 verified homes available for exchange in Netherlands. The list you see on this page is pulled live, so it stays in sync as new members join the community.
What kind of homes can I expect to find in Netherlands?
The current Netherlands catalog includes apartments. You can filter by property type, number of bedrooms and amenities directly on the listings page — and because this information comes straight from the database, it reflects what's actually available today, not a generic description.
How reliable is the internet infrastructure for remote work across the Netherlands?
The Netherlands consistently ranks among the top three countries globally for internet speed and reliability. Fibre-to-the-home is standard in cities and many towns, with symmetrical gigabit connections common in apartment buildings. Even backup mobile networks offer robust 5G coverage. Power outages are exceptionally rare, and most residential buildings have stable electrical grids. Cafes and coworking spaces treat strong WiFi as a baseline expectation, not a perk. The Dutch telecoms market is competitive, meaning affordable, high-performance plans are easy to arrange even for short stays.
